CRHS eNews - 8/31/2018
General Information
Lunch Drop-off – NEW PROCEDURE
Beginning, Tuesday, September 4, parents who are dropping off lunch for their child in the Main
Campus will place the lunch on a cart outside of the front office. There will be pens and sticky
notes available to write your child’s name on the bag or item. At designated times before lunch,
CRHS staff will bring the cart into the office to allow students to retrieve their lunch. By doing
this, parents will no longer need to wait to be admitted to the front office to drop off lunch. Other
drop-off items (homework, money, phones, etc.) will still be taken inside the office and will require
the parent to show a photo ID in order to access the front office. Thank you so much for your
patience as we try to streamline our entry procedures.
Medication at school Permission to carry emergency medications and inhalers must first be bought to the clinic with the
Parent/Physician Authorization for Self Administration form and the appropriate Action Plan. The nurse
will then issue the student a permission to carry card when the forms and medication in the original
packaging are verified. Students may NOT carry any other medication at school. All medication must be
turned into the nurse in its original packaging and must be accompanied by the district Medication
Permission form (refer to the Quick Links located on the CRHS clinic page) or a hand written note from
a parent, including:
Child’s full name
Child’s date of birth
How the medication is to be administered (when, how much and for what)
Certain medications cannot be administered in the school setting. Please visit our link from the CRHS
home page or call the nurse for further information.

Child Find Notice It is Katy ISD's responsibility to identify and evaluate students who within the intent of Section 504 of
the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 need special services or programs in order that such students may receive
the required free appropriate education. A student who may need specialized instruction or programs
within the intent of Section 504 is one who:
has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of life’s major
activities; or
has a record of such impairment; or
is regarded as having such an impairment.
Students may be eligible under the provisions of Section 504 even though they do not require services
pursuant to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Parents who believe that they have a child
who may qualify for special services or programs under Section 504 should contact Sam Adedipe, the
campus 504 coordinator for Cinco Ranch High School.
IDs All students received IDs the first day of school. Students who did not receive them have had
opportunities since August 15 to have their ID printed for them. Beginning Monday, August 27, fees
will be charged for temporary IDs and replacement IDs as follows:
Temporary ID - $1
Replacement ID & Holder - $4
CRHS Lanyard - $1
If a student is going to provide their own lanyard, they are not required to purchase a CRHS lanyard;
however, they must be wearing their ID on a lanyard. Temporary IDs are printed in the student’s grade
level principal’s office. Replacement IDs, holders and lanyards are purchased in the 9th Grade Office for
9th graders and the Main Campus Office for 10th-12th graders.

parents with information on current topics that impact students and schools district-wide. Academy

in response to concerns that we see on our campuses and in our community. The first session,
“Emotional Well-being and Referral Processes,” is scheduled for Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from
