Grade 7 - 10 Athletics On Wednesday October 26th the Grade 7 - 10 Athletics Carnival was held at the Longford Football Ground. Students
had less than ideal conditions in which to compete. Although the weather was varied participants attitude and competition
were high. The day produced some outstanding results in both the track and field events. Over the course of the day 5
records were broken with Isaac Chugg setting new records in the 100m (12.31 sec), 400m (57.10 sec), and triple jump
(11.40m). Issac narrowly missed a fourth record by 0.01 seconds in the 200m. Tayla Luttrell broke the discus record with
a throw of 22.27m and Courtney Ricketts equalled the long jump record by jumping 4.45m.
Congratulations must be given to the Eagles house who won the Grade 7 - 10 carnival and to the parents who came to
support their child/ren.
Sharks: 904 Eagles: 918 Devils: 865
From the carnival students were selected to represent Cressy at the Inter High Athletics Carnival which was held on
Tuesday November 15th at St Leonards Athletics Centre.
