Scorpio distributes the dan- delion yellow light of Ray 4, from a star in the Big Dipper. Ray 4 is Harmony emerging from deep con- flict, crisis and chaos. Humanity learns through con- flict and crisis. Conflict is always between two things – a duality. Duality is a part of living on planet Earth. When we see opposites, we can choose to stand on one side or the other or lift up to a place that inte- grates and synthesizes the two. Duality is purposeful. Duality creates a tension. And tension is needed so that we can “sweep” forward (or back). On our planet the equation of change and choice is, “Crisis, Polariza- tion, then Sweep”(upward or downward)! In this Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, these issues arise again. Scorpio calls humanity to battle, to be the world disciple, the warrior, courageous enough to fight for liberty, justice and humanity’s freedoms. Gardena activist Charlotte Lynch will receive the Gardena Valley Lions Community Rec-ognition Award Feb. 17 during the club’s 92nd Anniversary at the El Pollo Inka Restaurant in Gardena.

This year marks the club’s 34th community recognition ban-quet and will begin with a no-host bar at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7.

Cost per person to attend the

celebration is $30 on or before Feb. 15. Guests will have their choice of chicken, beef or fish. Contact GV Lion Frank Onderka to RSVP at 310-768-1836.

Gardena resident Lynch was born and raised in southern Minnesota. Her young life was always very busy and she en-gaged in numerous activities and volunteering. After earning a BS in Nursing at Winona State Uni-versity, she worked for one year in Rochester, MN as a Public Health Nurse.

An adventurous type, she re-

located to southern California where she gained employment as a public health nurse with the Los Angeles County Depart-ment of Health Services. Along the way she married and helped raise two sons and became very involved with volunteer work.

Retiring from Los Angeles County after 27 years of service, Lynch continued to volunteer her time and continues to do so to this day.
