Creative Problem-Solving using LEGO® Serious Play®

This programme is about expanding your creative repertoire in problem-solving.

It broadens your perspective by engaging you in

analyzing not only your problem but also the way you think about it. You will be able to maneuver a paradigm shift once

you are aware of your own thinking so as to generate more novel ideas.

You will learn how to approach a problem with a method that

engages your logic, your intuition and your action in order to uncover unperceived solutions.

In particular, you will be able to break free from the linear and factual mindset with the help of …

“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used

when we created them.”

Albert Einstein

Hand Intelligencethat help you unlock &

make sense of tacit knowledge.

Metaphors that

allow you to see things from different perspectives.

Play that engages your

imagination to describe, create & challenge the

world as you see it, and test the ‘What if’.

3D Models that externalize your

thinking and uncovers limitations it has imposed on your ability to identify possible solutions.

Seeing First/ Intuition

Thinking First/ Logic

Doing First/ Action

At the end of the programme, you will be able to:

▪ Become more confident in generating creative ideas▪ Use 3D metaphors to describe, challenge and disturb your way of thinking so as to

generate more novel ideas▪ Maneuver a paradigm shift in order to uncover unperceived solutions for a problem▪ Use your logical thinking, intuition and action learning interchangeably to solve problems

effectively

“Sometimes

decisions defy

purely step-by-

step logic. To

be effective,

companies also

should embrace

intuitive or

action-oriented

forms of

decision

making.”

Henry Mintzberg & Frances Westley

Logic, intuition and action are the three ways of knowing we human being use to perceive and make sense of the world around us. In healthy organizations, rational, or “thinking first” model of problem-solving should be supplemented with two very different models – a “seeing first” and a “doing first” model.

In this workshop, you will be engaged in a method that employs all three ways in solving your problems.
