• To enable students to present a coherent account of their professional work and experience enabling them to demonstrate their skills to prospective employers or other educational establishments.

• Students individually will produce a CV and Showreel/Business Card in an agreed, pitched and appropriate format to highly professional standards.They will also be required to back up working processes in an accompanying journal.

•Marked on : 100% Coursework

• Artefact 70% - Showreel/Working Journal Individual students will produce a portfolio of work in an appropriate medium.

• Artefact 30% CV/Business Card/Working Journal Individual students will PRODUCE an industry pitched CV and Business Card intended for their career path after graduation.

Looking For?

Based on your industry research CV needs to be pitched and playing to your strengths.Keep it 2 pages MAX / name, contact details/profile/relevant experience/skillset/education/employment/interests/full references/footnote with name etc

•Shown a range of CV’s that were pitched and well designed.

•Creation of Blogs - regular progress and processes MUST be shown.

•Remember to be inventive and unique with how you display (video’s screen shots)

Creative Platforms Presentation of Progress

You will need to demonstrate your progress on this module and show examples of how this has been achieved through industry research, processes and production of content.

The presentation can take the form of:1. A Video Screen Recording - using software like QuickTime, Camtasia etc. Record your

work online - via your blog, videos, animations, sound, software, research . . 2. Powerpoint or Apple Keynote3. Prezi

What to Hand-In?•Think of the presentation - quality paper used

for CV / Business Cards

•Packing of showreel - dvd cover / dvd face cover / if website then obviously this would be on business card to advertise

•The office might staple through your work so remember an envelope / box to avoid this

•A4 sheet of paper - landscape with your blog address added.

What to Hand-In?•You do not have to print out your blog pages

just the url - cut and paste onto an A4 sheet of paper.

•print room in Anglesea Building can print a design onto a cd/dvd if needed

•Allow time for cards to arrive - 7-10 days

Important to:

Be Consistent with look & feel in all elements - including social media, film titles, website design - CV, Business Cards

Email same as website url

check and double check this & typo’s, grammar etc

Style: Is the content fluent, appropriate and free from repetition? Do the artefacts have a consistent and professional appearance? Self Awareness: Do the artefacts present your strengths effectively? Is evidence for these strengths presented through relevant examples? Quality of Presentation: Professional designed standard and pitched to the intended audience Journal Evidence - Does it reflect the working creative processes, key concerns, issues and solutions of the artefacts? Evidence of appropriate research for the intended audience?
