PARTNERSHIPS

Our partnership agreements span all phases of education from Early Years to University level.

Each partnership is unique to the school, college or university, offering projects for all

students, including pupil premium, those with specific educational needs

and those not in mainstream education.

choice. Previous workshops have

focussed on Charlie and the Chocolate

Factory, My Dad’s a Birdman and Once

WORKSHOP

A 2 hour workshop exploring plots,

characters, themes and approaches to

staging Shakespeare plays.

PLAY IN A DAY

Working with practitioners over the

course of a school day to rehearse a

shortened version of a Shakespeare play,

performing to parents and students at

the school

SHAKESPEARE DISCOVER ARTS AWARD

Complete the Discover Arts Award as

part of your Shakespeare lesson activities

and Play in a Day event. We can provide

all of the resources and administration

necessary for your students to achieve

the award.

Weekly after school sessions for all year

groups that develop theatre skills, build

confidence and encourages group

interaction through fun, creative

activities.

Sessions are led by professional theatre

practitioners and run for 10 weeks each

term in your school. Each term ends with

an informal sharing to classmates, friends

and family.

STANDARD WORKSHOPS

Workshops are available on a range of curriculum

topics and subjects to suit all ages and abilities,

and can be delivered in school.

direct the play your school enters in the festival.

* Play In A Day

Practitioners work with a large group of students to

explore a text, performing to an audience at the end

of the day.

* Production Support Days

Support for your school production with workshops

delivered by actors, designers and choreographers.

* Theatre Tours

Tours of the theatre spaces at Royal & Derngate.

SPECIAL PROJECTS

PRODUCTIONS & WORKSHOPS

School group tickets are available for productions

and some Errol Flynn Cinema screenings.

We also offer production-related workshops.

BESPOKE WORKSHOPS Bespoke workshops that are tailored to the specific

needs of your students are also available.

These are designed and led by arts specialists

providing workshops, residencies or sustained

projects across a term.

Fees for bespoke workshops start from £300 upwards

depending on the specialism.

Examples include:

* Storytelling * Choreography

* Advanced Theatre Skills * Devising

Bespoke workshops can also focus on key texts, such

as My Dad’s a Birdman, Once Upon an Ordinary

School Day and GCSE/A Level Set Texts.

We offer a range of training opportunities through

workshops and projects.

Continuing Professional Development

Aimed at teachers, teaching assistants, trainee

teachers and support staff. Workshop focus can include

specialist skills training and/or creative teaching

methods in practice.

Arts Award

The Creative Learning Team has qualified advisors

offering Arts Awards at Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver

and Gold levels, and can design specific projects that

embed Arts Award into both curriculum and

enrichment activities.

VOCATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Vocational experience within the creative

industries is a key element of our Post-16

provision.

Projects can be designed to focus on specific

careers or on developing an understanding of

how an arts organisation works.

Examples of provision include:

* Industry Days * Talks

* Post-Show Q&As * Masterclasses

* Performances * Internships

There are also opportunities for students to

volunteer on festival and community projects

such as Fun Palaces, Connections Festival and

Heritage Days.
