Investing in Washington’s Creative Communities The award-winning Creative Districts program helps cities designate hubs for creative sector jobs, tourist activities, housing, and more. This request is for a small-scale capital improvements pilot program. The projects will boost the visibility and attractiveness of the Districts. This will increase the tourism and economic potential of their communities. Eight communities in Washington will have achieved Creative District designation by the end of FY20: Edmonds, Chewelah, Olympia, Port Townsend, Langley, Twisp, Tenino and Issaquah. Projects will be fully designed and prepared for construction, or fully constructed and/or installed during this pilot.
