INTRODUCTIONO For all Muslims, Al-Quran contains Allahscommandments pertainingreligious, spiritual and scientific matters.O However, there were alwaysmisperceptions especially among heWestern scholars, that Al-Quran excludeshuman issues and science. 3. MEANING OF SCIENCEO In general, science refers to the study ofthe structure and behavior of thephysical and natural world based onthe hypothesis and experiment.O The knowledge of science gained throughthe observations and experimentations. 4. RELATIONSHIP BETWEENAL-QURAN AND SCIENCEO Encouragement for the quest of knowledgeO Science is not a divine revelation.O It helps men to understand better about thecreation of Allah.O Allah ordained His servants to seekknowledge and to pray to Him. O Encouragement for observation and reflectionO Allah guides scientists through the versesof Al-Quran to meaningful purposes.(45:13)O The more one investigates, the more oneknows about Allah and His universe.O Allah has given us the faculties and theintellectual genius (Hidayah Al-Aql) tounderstand His creations and universe. 6. O There are two types of observation :O Tafakkur a process of observation ofvisible signs of Allah scientifically (7:176) O Natural phenomenon of universe O Human phenomenon 7. O Tadabbur a process of studying thereadable sings of Allah scientifically.O Al-Quran 8. O Al-Quran as a book of signsO There are more than 6000 signs in Al-Quran which more than 1000 signs dealwith science.O Al-Quran has many miraculous attributesproving that it is a revelation from Allah.O Scientific facts that only can be discoveredby the technology of the 20th century werestated in the Quran 1400 years ago whichshows that Quran is the word of Allah. 9. But O How could The Prophet Muhammad have possibly known about the scientific facts thousand years ago without using any advanced equipment and powerful microscopes? 12. MeaningO Allah has created men not from the normalprocess of man intervention.O No fertilization process occurred. 15. Creation of the Prophet Adam O The first human created. O Adam was existed on the earth not through the normal process of sexual intercourse. O In Al-Quran (15:28) 16. O Note that the word existed is usedbecause of the verse I am about to createa man.O The existence of Adam was directly fromAllah Almighty, not from the motherswomb where the word of born can not beused. 17. Creation of the Prophet IsaO His birth was such a miracle where hewas born on the earth with no father.(3:45) 24. O Besides, he also can speak with peoplewhen he was baby. THE CREATION OF MAN GENERALLYO Process of humans creation has gone through 7 stages as mentioned in Surah Al-Muminun (23:12-14) 28. First Stage - CLAY ( )O Allah created Prophet Adam from Clay. (15:26)O Allah created Hawa from rib of Adam. 29. O The word single person refers to ProphetAdam. (4:1) 30. O Its a fitrah for every single man to have apartner in their life, just like how Allahcreated Hawa for Adam. 31. Clay can be defined in many ways O Quintessence of clay (23:12) O Sticky clay (37:11) 32. O Clay like pottery (55:14)O Moulded mud (15:26) 33. O Relationship of human and clay :O Scientists found that substances in ourbody (eg Carbon etc) also found in clay.O After we die, our body will decomposedand become clay. 34. Second stage SPERM ( )O This stage refers to the fertilizationprocess where a sperm combine with anovum to develop into cells. 35. 1 3 Sperms are entering womans After leaving mans body, sperms only have 12 until 48 hours to find ovum Fallopian tube. 2When a sperm combinewith an ovum, fertilizationprocess occur. 4 After fertilization process, It will then dividing rapidly into many cells, and start moving to the uterus for Implantation process. 36. O The fertilized egg is put in a firmlyestablished lodging (23:13) 37. O 300 million sperms ejaculated. 38. O About 200 million sperms will survive toreach the ovum. 39. O Only one will succeed to fertilizing it. 40. Fertilization Process 41. Third stage Congealed Blood O 2nd until 4th week. O After the implantation occur, the cell will then form an embryo (a clot of blood) which is known as alaqah. 42. Meaning of alaqahO LeechO Leech here is related with the embryo.O Similarities between leech and an embryo :The embryo obtainsnourishment from theblood of the motherthrough the placenta.Leech feedsthemselves by suck theblood from human. 43. O Suspended thingO The word of suspended refers to theembryo that is suspended on the motherswomb which contain embryotic fluid.After the implantation process,the embryo is suspended onthe uterus. 45. O In Al-Quran (23:14) 46. O Blood clotO External appearance of the embryo and itssacs during the alaqah stage is similar tothe external appearance of a blood clot. 47. O Reasons of why external appearance of embryo is same as that of a blood clot :O Due to the presence of relatively largeamount of blood present in the embryo.O The blood in the embryo doesnt circulateuntil the end of the third week. 48. Fourth stage Lump-chewed like substance ( )O In Al-Quran (23:14)O It corresponds exactly to the appearance of theembryo at a certain stage in its development. 51. Fifth stage bone ( )Sixth stage covering the bone with flesh ( )O In Al-Quran (23:14)O The bones develop inside embryoO Then, it covered with muscle. 53. 8th week7th weekthe muscles takethe skeletontheir positionsbegins to spreadaround the bonethroughout theformedbody The bones of the baby completing its development in the mothers womb are clothed with flesh during one particular stage. 54. O The word My Spirit () is NOT a spiritfrom Allah.O It means, the goodness and the strengthof man are dependent on his spiritual part.O The word of Spirit is linked directly toAllah.O To purify it, do good deeds, ibadah andfollow Allahs Will. 57. Sex of BabyO Allah created human with genderwhether as a male or as a femaleO In Al-Quran (53:45) 60. O sex is determined by the sperm cells fromthe male, and that the female has no rolein this process of determining the sex ofbaby.O in the Quran, where it is stated thatmasculinity or femininity is created out of"a drop of sperm which has been ejected".O In Al-Quran (23:13) and (53:46) 61.
