on behalf of my team and I, we wish you a very warm welcome to The Chester Grosvenor.
The history of Chester and its most famous hotel have been inextricably linked for many decades. Although the existing building dates back to 1865, there has been an inn on this site since the late sixteenth century. Throughout the twentieth century the hotel has earned an enviable reputation for understated elegance, sublime comfort and a relaxed ambience.
We are home to two of Chester’s most celebrated restaurants, Michelin starred ‘Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor’ offers gourmet dining in an atmosphere of supreme elegance, while the contemporary two AA Rosette La Brasserie features eclectic full à la carte and ‘Light Bites’ menus with French classics and dishes influenced by flavours from around the world.
For those seeking relaxation or rejuvenation, The Spa at The Chester Grosvenor offers a range of traditional, contemporary and holistic therapies as well as a thermal suite with crystal steam room, salt grotto, sauna and foot baths.

The Chester Grosvenor is a luxury five AA Red Star hotel and ranked as an Inspectors’ Choice property. The hotel has been long established in the centre of Chester since its creation in 1865.
owned by The Duke of Westminster and holding status as a Grade II listed building, this Cestrian landmark rests firmly in the hearts of its guests.
The hotel offers 68 stylish bedrooms and 12 sophisticated suites, each individually designed with rich wall coverings and the finest fabrics, offering a traditional yet contemporary style.

The vibrant La Brasserie adds a splash of Paris to the city of Chester. offering all day dining, the restaurant is home to a striking hand-painted glass skylight and exudes a feeling of French sophistication.

The Arkle Bar and Lounge is a stylish venue for a pre-dinner cocktail and is stocked with exceptional malts, vintage ports, a wide range of liqueurs and one of the most extensive gin collections in Chester.
The Arkle Bar and Lounge also uses the innovative Coravin, allowing for an impressive selection of wine by the glass.

The Chester Grosvenor’s elegant and flexible dining rooms offer private dining from 2 to 250 people. All are overseen by our Executive Chef and Director of Catering, Simon Radley, renowned for his Michelin starred restaurant ‘Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor’.
‘The Cellar’, the private dining room of ‘Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor’, provides an atmosphere like no other in Chester, while the bespoke menus are a gastronomic delight. Each course can be complemented with your choice of wine from our extensive collection of over 700 bins, chosen with the help of our expert Sommelier.

The Chester Grosvenor has a variety of stunning spaces, which set the scene for an unforgettable meeting, special event or conference.
The Westminster Suite is a versatile, stylish space with rich colour tones, accommodating up to 250 guests. For a more intimate setting, the panelled walls can divide the room into 6 separate spaces. There is direct access to the car park, a luxurious welcome foyer, bar and cloakroom facilities.
The Eaton Suite has two beautiful rooms which flood with daylight and have a prime view of historic Eastgate Street. This versatile suite provides a number of options for use - host a meeting in an individual room or hold a conference in one with a welcome desk in the other.
Step out of The Eaton Suite and onto The Gallery, home to a magnificent Georgian style chandelier, making an ideal spot for arrival drinks or a canapé reception.

The Chester Grosvenor is located in the heart of historic Chester and overlooks the famous Eastgate Clock, said to be the most photographed clock in England after Big Ben. The hotel is just a short walk away from Chester Racecourse, Chester Cathedral, the famous Roman Amphitheatre and Storyhouse, Chester’s theatre, cinema, library and arts centre.
Wherever you are travelling from, The Chester Grosvenor is easily reached. Just 45 minutes by road from Manchester International Airport or 45 minutes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, less than two hours from London by train and two miles from M53, which links to M56 and M6.
