innovation

Polytip™ — a first for artist Brushes

The tip of each individual hair has been split to replicate the natural flags on the finest natural bristle. with each hair having two to three distinct tips, catalyst polytip Bristle™ brushes are able to hold a higher volume of paint while providing a smoother application.

the catalyst polytip™ Bristle brushes are super-stiff yet still extremely responsive. unlike natural hog bristle, Catalyst synthetic has real integrity in water. Natural bristles can be rendered useless when they are water-soaked.

designed for use with medium to heavy-bodied acrylics and oil paints, catalyst polytip™ Bristle brushes push even heavy gel mediums with assurance. Painting food CraftingCeramics

Blades and WedgesPolytip Bristle™

Not quite a brush. Not quite a palette knife. Catalyst tools are crafted from flexible silicone to allow artists a new form of expression. designed for use with heavy-bodied paints, catalyst is at home with acrylics, oils, water-miscible oils, encaustics, and more.

Step 1: Undercoat surface with black paint. Step 2: Use Mona Lisa™ Spray Adhesive to spray the back of the stencil and position on surface. Load the back of the palette knife with paste and spread over stencil like butter. Do NOT push hard. Let dry.

Step 3: Ensure paste is dry and lightly sand if desired. Use the bristle bright brush to apply a background finish. I used the slip-slap technique.

Step 4: spray the back of the stencil and reposition over the textured area. Use Mona Lisa triple thick adhesive and brush over raised area. Remove stencil within 2 min. Allow to dry for 30 min. Apply gold leaf and use a mop brush to burnish.
