Creating a Blog Header with PowerPoint
Open PowerPoint
Add clipart/images and text as desired. As a rule of thumb, you’ll
want to use no more than 1/3 of the total slide height for your
design.
Once you’ve created the design the way you want, you must save it
as a jpeg file:
Save As > Other Formats >
Use the arrow beside “Save as type:” and choose JPEG File Interchange
Format >
Be sure to note where
the file is to be saved*
and then choose Save
A window will appear:
If you choose Every Slide, a folder will be made with each
slide saved as a picture (jpeg.) If you choose Current Slide
Only, then just the specified slide will be saved as a jpeg.
To add your new header to your blog, go to Appearance > Header. Note that not all themes allow you to change the
header.
Choose the Browse button
and go to where your
header is saved.* Once the
path to your new header
image is shown, choose Upload.
Select the portion of the slide to be used and choose Crop and Publish.
Your new header will appear on your blog:
*This image
will be saved
on the desktop.
