The vapor phase method we used is advanced and the producing technology
is mature; the whole production system is advanced with digital data monitoring

XYSIL®
Fumed Silica is Synthetic, amorphous silica with features such as small particle size, large BET surface area,
high surface activity and high purity. The original particle size can be 7 – 40 nm according to system setting, and the
BET surface area is 100 – 400 m2/g.
The annual capacity is 6000 tons with 4 production lines.

Production of Xysil ® Fumed Silica
The production method of pyrogenic highly-dispersed silicon dioxide involves the process which is based on
continuous vapour phase hydrolysis of silicon tetrachloride SiCl4.
During the process, the silicon tetrachloride in gas phase reacts with water forming in H2-O2 flame, with the reaction
temperature 1000°C: SiCl4 + 2H2 + O2 → SiO2 + 4HCl

Adhesive & Sealant：：：：
One of the most important applications of fumed silica in the adhesives and sealants industry is its use as an active
reinforcing filler to improve the mechanical properties of silicone sealants.
Coating & Paint：：：：
fumed silica is mainly used in paints and coatings to control rheological characteristics, as thixotroping agent, as
anti-settling agent and to help in the prevention of rust and corrosion.
Silicone Rubber:
Fumed silica is active reinforcing filler used in the production of silicon rubbers.
UP Resin:
fumed silica is added to UP resins for viscosity control and to achieve the desired thickening/thixotropic effect.
Thermal insulation (Vacuum-insulation panels):
the vacuum-insulation panels are made with vacuum-packed fumed silica encased in several layers of a special film
that is impermeable to air and moisture. The better the quality of the structure of the fumed silica in its core, the
better the insulation effect of VIP.

Fumed Silica is are currently available in a wide variety of packages including multi-layer paper bags
(10KG/Bag) and big bag (160KG/Bag).
Transportation by sea
20’GP: 1.8 Mt, 10 pallets, 180KG/pallet.
40’GP: 3.6 Mt, 20 pallets, 180KG/pallet.
40’HQ: 4.0 Mt, 20 pallets, 200KG/pallet.
Storage:
We recommend to store the product in closed containers under dry conditions and to protect the material from
volatile substance, Xysil fumed silica should be used within 1 year after production.
