• PAS [Programme for Academic Success] ran SIX weeks programme starting Monday after Pittsburgh High Schools’ graduation.
• Library involvement ? One time brief introduction session.

Smart Start is Born!
• TWO weeks programme before term begins. • 3 credits 2012 & 2013, 2 credits 2014.• Librarians meet cohorts daily, 75 mins. • What do you need, where is it, credibility, don’t
plagiarise. Activities/exercises/assessment.• Throw in “how to find your free textbooks”
[EZBorrow or Reserve] as an appreciated bonus.

• Will conduct “how did the Library help you” survey in Spring 2015 using 2012, 2013, 2014 cohorts.
• Students say name “Smart Start” makes them feel “stupid” and “labelled”. Will look at changing name.
