The Cray Marketing Partner Network (MPN) provides public network access to the latest Cray systems and technologies. Hosted by Cray, the MPN enables easy access to a broad range of Cray technology for training, evaluation, testing and application development. The MPN can be used by customers, independent software vendors (ISVs), software developers, researchers and other users.Once they line up a Cray sponsor and apply online, users can access the MPN directly over the internet. Each user must apply individually for an account. Hundreds of Cray customer and partner organizations use the MPN.

Use CasesTypical use cases of the MPN include:• Training and education o Allow users to familiarize themselves with Cray systems and tools o Support training classes and workshops• Application compatibility o Test and validate application compatibility on Cray systems• Application optimization o Test and validate performance using Cray tools and technology o Aid in the porting of applications to a Cray system o Provide a platform to optimize and tune applications for the highest level of performance• Code and program development o Give programmers access to tools and technologies to develop applications• Special projects o Project-specific activities approved by Cray, requiring immediate access o Special security or access requirements

Access to Innovative Cray TechnologiesThe MPN currently includes the XC40™, CS400™ and CS-Storm™ supercomputers and the Urika®-GX agile analytics platform (its predecessor, the Urika®-XA system, is also available on request). Once obtaining access to the MPN, you’ll be able to utilize state-of-the-art technologies such as:• The Cray XC series of supercomputers, including the high-speed Aries™ interconnect • Cray’s complete software stack such as the Cray Linux Environment and Cray Programming Environment, and associated software

tools and compilers• The Cray DataWarp™ applications I/O accelerator utilizing flash storage • The Cray CS-Storm system for GPU-intensive cluster computing• The Urika-GX platform for data-intensive graph and big data analytics• Cray® Sonexion® scale-out Lustre® storage system for high-performance storage

Getting StartedOnce you identify a project and find a sponsor inside Cray, you’ll be able to sign up online by filling out a short application. Once your application is approved, you’ll have complete access to the MPN.
