The main aim of this conference is to bring together key players from academia, defence industry and defence research organizations to develop a shared vision that will meet the immediate and future demands in fulfilling the educational needs – in particular, the Security and Safety sector.
Technology plays a key role in delivering this vision. Accordingly, the inaugural conference focuses on Security and Safety, Synthetic Environments and Simulation, and Technology Enhanced Learning. With rapid growth in defence, the demand for highly qualified people in this sector is set to increase to meet the challenges of the 21st century. The growth of both public and private education in India has seen steady increase in the past few years and is expected to grow further.
The demands and expectations placed on the learners are equally high. The educational qualifications obtained during their undergraduate and post-graduate studies are no longer sufficient as technology evolves and new developments offer much better solutions and economic gains. Confronted with these challenges, we are required to deliver high quality education in a timely and agile fashion. Learning Technologies have great potential to address some of these challenges in delivering quality higher education that will map better to the learners’ needs, institutional requirements and expectations from industry. Pedagogically sound digital content augmented with devices have far greater potential to educate a comprehensive learner.
Experts from Cranfield Defence Academy and leading Establishments/Universities in the country will discuss on issues like Explosion Safety, Simulation and Synthetic environment, Cyber Security and Defence education.
