Wrap the end of the yarn around the peg on the outside of the

loom to secure it while reapping the petals. Take the yarn tothe inside of the loom between Peg 1 and Peg 12

Continue wrapping in this method until you have wrapped

five rows on each peg. Turning the loom as you wrap can help

    you along.

Coming from the underside of the loom, sew up between Pegs

    6 and 7

Once you have sewn between all the pegs, start sewing withinthe actual flower petals. You will begin from the underside

of the boom and sew up in front of Peg 1, then down in front

    of Peg 7.

You can either pull out the pegs to release the flower or use the

TK tool to pull the petals over the pegs.

Take the yarn across the loom between Pegs 6 and 7. Then

    wrap around Peg 6.

After you are finished with the fifth row, the tail of the yarn

should be lined up with the holding peg on the outside of the

loom. Wrap the end of the yarn around the holding peg and cut

the end leaving a 3 inch tail.

Coming from the top of the loom, sew down between Pegs 12

    and 1.

Sew up in front of Peg 2, then down in front of Peg 8 and so onuntil you have sewn in front of each peg.

Take a glue dot and fasten one side to the flower and the other

side to the pin backing to make a lovely flower pin!

Take the yarn between Pegs 1 and 12 and wrap Peg 12. Take it

between pegs 5 and 6 and wrap Peg 5.

Cut a yard of yarn in either the same or a contrasting color and

thread it on the blue yarn needle. Attach the end of the new

yarn to the holding peg on the outside of the loom.

From under the loom, pull the yarn tightly (but gently) to shape

the center of your flower. Sew up between Pegs 5 and 6, then

down between Pegs 11 and 12, and so on, pulling the yarn

gently to maintain the center s shape.

When you are finished, unwrap the end of your second yarnfrom the holding peg and tie the two ends together on the bac

    of the flower.

rosette-embellished cardiganRemember the Knitwit? A sensation among 1970s crafters, this old

infomercial favorite is still around todayand still the fastest way to

whip up versatile yarn rosettes than can be shaped into any number of

accessories. It comes with instructions for use and is a snap to learn.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED Knitwit kit (available online), mohair yarn (in shades of

white and pink), scissors, needle and thread

Follow the instructions that come with the Knitwit kit to form rosettes. Use the

same type of yarn for all of them, varying the colors. Wind the yarn four times

around the tool for each bloom; when stitching the center and perimeter of

each, work with a single strand rather than four. Release the finished rosettes

from the tool and use a needle and thread to tack them to the sweater.
