Oxford Community Foundation -Helping You Achieve Your Charitable Goals

One of the easiest ways to have an impact on your community is a gift to the Community Fund. Your gift to the Community Fund gives the Foundation the ability to address the greatest needs of the Greater Oxford area. Field of Interest Funds provide immediate support to an area of personal interest. There are eight Field of Interest Funds, which align with the focus areas of the Oxford Community Foundation. Each interest area supports a variety of community projects and programs. Arts & Culture—supports projects and programs that are designed to establish art enrichment and education or provide diversified cultural experiences, such as the Graphic Exhibition Display System at the Oxford Community Arts Center. Beautification—supports projects and programs designed to preserve, protect and enhance the beauty of the Greater Oxford Area, including Repairs to the Oxford Dog Park. Civic Projects—supports projects and programs related to community development, citizen involvement, leadership training, and general community programs and projects, such as Be a Child’s Voice the Parachute/CASA volunteer program. Environmental—supports environmental education and activities to enhance, maintain, protect, and preserve our natural and developed resources, for example the Wetland and Prairie Educational Signs at the Talawanda/Erik Natural Areas. Education—supports programs, projects, and scholarships from preschool through graduation that advance educational opportunities for all students, such as the Camp Invention Summer STEM Enrichment Program. Health—supports projects and programs that promote good physical and mental health and quality of life for businesses, families, and individuals, including the AED for Somerville. Recreation—supports projects and programs providing a broad range of high quality dynamic recreational and educational experiences to all ages that benefit the community, for example the Oxford Holiday Fest. Social Service—supports human service organizations, programs for children, youth, family, and senior citizens, such as Free Tax Preparation Program for Low-Income Filers.

Our MissionTo serve Oxford and the surrounding community by identifying, addressing, and improving the evolving needs of the community now and for all time.

Planned Giving

One of the most impactful ways to leave a legacy is through a planned gift. Your gift will ensure that the Oxford Community Foundation continues its mission of serving the greater Oxford community by supporting natural resources, community resources, and human resources; by acting as a catalyst in identifying and addressing evolving needs; and by providing a flexible and cost-effective way for donors to improve the community now and for all time.

Gift planning, by definition, is any major gift made now or after your lifetime. Planned gifts can provide significant tax benefits to the donor, such as:

• Conserve estate assets for yourself and for those you love

• Bypass capital gains taxes

• Reduce current income taxes

• Reduce federal estate taxes

• Increase current income

There are several legacy giving arrangements that will help you maximize your personal benefits and accomplish your charitable giving goals. Each legacy giving arrangement can be structured to suit your individual situation.

• Will – a gift to the Oxford Community Foundation may be made in your will.

• Lifetime Gift – a gift where the donor receives a lifetime benefit, such as a charitable gift annuity

• Outright Gift – a gift which benefits the donor with income tax savings for the current year, such as cash, real estate, stock or life insurance.

Your gift through careful gift planning can continue to promote and sustain the quality of life for the greater Oxford community.

Call us today at 513-523-0623 to schedule an appointment to discuss your legacy.
