iPad  Client  installation  and  configuration  

Version  CrashPlan PROe v 3.4.1

Requirements  -­‐ Apple iPad 1, 2 or 3 -­‐ iOS version 5.0 or later. -­‐ AppleID and an App Store account to download the software

o CrashPlan PROe for iOS is free

Installation   To acquire CrashPlan PROe for iOS, you must visit the iOS App Store. 1) Open the App Store by tapping on the App Store icon.

2) Tap on the Featured button.

3) Tap in the Search field in the upper right corner.

4) Using the keyboard, type in Crashplan. A list of search results should

appear. 5) Tap on crashplan proe.

6) Tap the Install button to install.

a) You will be prompted for your Apple App Store account password. If you do not have an Apple ID and iTunes App Store account, you will not be able to install this app.

7) The installation is now complete. 8) Press the Home button to go back to the main window.

2) The first time you launch the app, the server login screen will appear. Enter the server URL: a) mybackup.med.harvard.edu

3) Tap Submit.

4) Enter your eCommons User name and password.

5) Tap Sign in.

You should now be signed into CrashPlan PROe.
