Safety
Movement in either direction is gas assisted which therefore reduces the lifting/pushing weight exerted by the user. If the user inadvertently releases the handle whilst either lifting or pushing the card reader bollard, the gas strut gently continues its movement until it reaches the end position - with no sudden movements. An internal step is incorporated to allow the user safe access in and out of the pre-cast concrete culvert whilst raising and lowering the bollard.
Method of Use
Normal position is with the Card Reader Bollard in a vertical position. When a large or oversized vehicle requires entry, each lid is manually opened, the user then lowers the Card Reader Bollard by using the specially designed handles. This action is easy and safe to perform due to the assistance of the gas strut.
Construction
Fully welded Australian made RHS & angle iron steel is used in the sub frame. Aluminium checker plate is incorporated into the each lid which contributies to the safety design and ease of use. All fabricated mild steel is hot dipped galvanized for total protection and maximum life span. A choice of Magnetic’s car or truck height Card Reader Bollard can be selected. This product is installed into a pre-cast concrete culvert with suitable drainage (supplied separately).
