· 9:00-10:00: Light Breakfast Snacks, welcome, introduction to Academy goals, ice breaker activity Kell 308 (check in) and Kell 314 (food)

· 10:00-10:30: Discussion about the importance of geospatial technologies, GIS and mapping, Kell 314

· 10:30-10:45: Break

· 10:45-12:15: Geospatial technology hands-on lab activity: introduction to ArcGIS Online part 1, Sparks 369

· 12:15-1:00: Lunch with Academy staff and students, Kell 314

· 1:00-2:00: Georgia State University campus tour

· 2:00-3:15: Geospatial technology hands-on lab activity: introduction to ArcGIS Online part 2

· 9:30-2:30: Project field data collection around Atlanta with Academy staff and community partners (separated into 3 smaller project tracks, boxed lunches, water, and snacks provided in the field)

· Collaborative smartphone/tablet data collection with community partner organization

· 3:00-3:30: Learn and Share: Ask students to share fieldwork experiences, challenges of working together, using technology, and listening to community partners

Thursday

· 9:00-9:15: Light Breakfast Snacks, Learn and Share, Kell 314

· 9:30-11:30: Drone School at Piedmont Park (weather permitting)

· 11:30-12:15: Lunch, Kell 314

· 12:15-3:15: Group map application development and analyses of fieldwork data

· 3:15-3:30: Learn and Share: reflect on the day

Friday

· 9:00-9:30: Light Breakfast Snacks, Kell 314 (food)

· 9:30-12:00: Final group map design and final group presentation work, Sparks 369

· 12:00-12:45: Lunch celebration with Academy students, Kell 314

· 12:45-1:15: Presentation preparations, rooms TBD

· 1:30-2:45 Public presentations of Academy projects (invitations to family, friends, community partners) (Location TBD)

· 2:45-3:15: Post-survey and evaluation by Academy students

· 3:15-3:45: Closing cake celebration with all Academy participants and invited guests
