Kudos and Special Thanks

• Please extend thanks to Dennis Nixon's pal - (sorry, forgot his name) he has been a huge help to Dennis;

• Also, all the pals that helped with the Pedal 4 Peds bike ride ... they were huge help along the route cheering on, ensuring folks were going in the right direction, as well as helping with planning.

• Also ... WOW! thanks for the all the great treats throughout the semester. Their general appearance in the clinic, and willingness to help, has been noticed, and very much so appreciated.

-Kristi Geib, Nurse Practitioner

• To Kyle- Always willing to help out in any fashion whether organizing, helping with resources, helping new volunteers. Also including helping patients & staff keeping a relaxed atmosphere in a sometimes chaotic environment.

• To all the volunteers that have helped with organizing resources. THANK YOU, you truly impacted my ability be efficient with spending time with patients. To find things easier & make room for all the other stuff we often do not have time to organize.

Kudos and Special Thanks. . .

• Please convey my appreciation and gratitude to the CPALS. Being that I was a part of CPALS for many years before retiring, it certainly warms my heart to see the group growing and doing so many wonderful things.

• A special thanks to you for your dedication and hard work in making CPALS what it is today.

-Rose Dunaway, RN and CPALS founder

Kudos and Special Thanks. . .• The PALS have been super. both to our and my

particular patients and as a group in their unstinting help with pedal 4 peds. I haven’t seen a slacker yet.

• I hesitate to target just a handful, but hope that those of the PALS who clearly have gone the extra mile both in clinic and with our fundraising stuff know who they are.

• Glad to help each and every one of them in any way I can.

– Dr. Julie Blatt, Pediatric Oncologist

Kudos and Special Thanks. . .

• Your upbeat, positive energy, and the fact that you represent no clinical agenda or hospital daily goal, is a wonderful gift. You remind our patients and families – and us - that what we do is about connecting with each other, human to human, and trying to make life a little more enjoyable, a little less stressful. Thank you.

– Hadley Kifner, Pediatric Chaplain

Kudos and Special Thanks. . .• I’ve been very impressed during my first year here with the

fantastic jobs the CPALS do in our clinic……on any given clinic day, I observe bright & dedicated volunteers working with all age groups of our kids & really making a huge difference in the lives not only of the kids but of their families - several family members that I’ve spoken with are relieved to know that their child - or especially adolescent – will have an ongoing visit with someone/peer that they’ve come to know & respect & who sees them first as a person and not as a patient….it’s comforting for the family and also provides some respite for them as well.

• In addition, the CPALS have great energy that they bring to the clinic, and I think this makes a difference for our staff – I know it does for me to see their smiles & passion in working with our kids.

-Mary Ann Bradshaw, Clinic Social Worker
