WSDC Mission Statement

Witmer Street Development Corporation is a non-pro-fit organizations. Our goal is to provide better opportunities and success to all people who are in need of these three services: Health, Jobs, and Housing. We will provide better opportunities by referring our clients to the best clinics that fit their needs. We will provide personal counseling and health classes. Referrals will also be available if clients need to see a specialist. Health equals success and our clients need good health to get the successful jobs that will lead to their success. Our jobs department will have monthly job fairs as well as job developers working with our clients to prepare them to get that job to be successful. We will also focus on getting our clients ready to hit the job market by providing employment classes ranging from resume writing to computer hands-on training. We will match the job to their skills and current situation. With good jobs that lead to independence, our clients can get good housing. Our housing department will assist our clients in looking for housing that match their income and situation. Witmer will assist and referral them to others in looking for the best housing for themselves and their families.

Witmer believes when people have good health, jobs, and housing, lives will change. Communities will change one at a time.

HEALTH CONVENTIONS

WE WILL HAVE GUEST SPEAKERS AND DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS COMING OUT TO PROMOTE HEALTH ISSUES AND HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO BE INVOLVED IN THE HEALTH FIELD AND EXPRESS HOW EACH ONE SERVICES CAN HELP FAMILY, VETS, SINGLE MEN, SINGLE WOMEN, AND YOUTH. INFORMATION’S WILL BE GIVEN AND EVERYBODY WILL BE AWARE OF ALL HEALTH ISSUES AND HOW TO PROTECT THEMSELVES AND FAMILIES.

HEALTH FORUM

THE COMMUNITY WILL BE INTRODUCED AND HAVE OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK ON HEALTH ISSUES AND COME UP WITH SOLUTIONS TO SOLVE THESE ISSUES. HEALTHY FOOD AND SPEAKER WILL BE AVAILABLE WITH A FACILITIER.

INSURANCE FAIR

CLIENTS WILL HAVE SEVERAL OPTIONS ON HEALTH INSURANCE AND THEIR PICK TO CHOOSE THE BEST OPTIONS FOR THEIR FAMILY AND INDIVIDUAL SITUATIONS.

“HEALTH FOOD PICKUP”

CLIENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PICK UP FOOD TWICE A MONTH (HEALTHY FOOD) TO EAT WITH A COUPLE OF RECIPES TO COME WITH IT.

OUTREACH HEALTH COOKOUT

THE COMMUNITY WILL PLAN A ONCE A MONTH EVENT WHERE EVERYBODY COOK SOMETHING HEALTHY AND COME OUT AND HAVE FUN AS A COMMUNITY. THERE WILL BE MUSIC AND GAMES AND PRIZES TO WIN AS WELL.

Health EvaluationsTO HAVE PEOPLE OF THE COMMUNITY TO COME TO EVENTS. MOST AT START 50 TO 100 LIKE TO SEE MORE THAN THAT TIMES 5 SINCE WE HAVE A BIG COMMUNITY

TO HAVE ALL WHO ATTEND LEARN AND WE WOULD KNOW BY THE STATISTIC OF HEALTH REPORT TO SEE IF THE NUMBER HAVE GONE DOWN SINCE OUR CLASSES AND TRAINING.

TO HAVE REACHED ALL THE COMMUNITY 11,840 MALES 10,561 FEMALES

TO HAVE MORE THAN HALF THE COMMUNITY OR AT LEAST HALF HAVE MEDICAL INSURANCE.

TO HAVE OUR CLASSES FULL. EACH CLASS SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST 20- 25 PEOPLE

TO HAVE AT LEAST 20 - 25 CLIENTS COMING IN OUR CLINIC USING OUR SERVICES DAILY

SEEING THE RESULTS OF HOW HEALTHY THE CLIENTS GET AND THE SURVEY OF HOW THEY GET TREATED. REVIEWS OF 5 AND 4 OR GOODS 3 AND BELOW WE NEED IMPROVEMENT.

TO HAVE INTERNS COME OVER AND GET HOURS IN OUR MEDICAL DEPARTMENT ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE COMING OUT OF COLLEGE.

I WANT TO HAVE ALL MALES AND FEMALES MORE AWARE OF HEALTH. I WOULD CONSIDER SUCCESS AT LEAST 50 TO COME OUT TO OUR HEALTH FORUM AND SEE IT IMPROVE BY 50 EVERY 2 MONTHS OR 3 MONTHS TO SEE IF WE ARE SPREADING OUR MESSAGE EFFECTIVELY THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA AND THE OUTREACH TEAM.

HAVING GOOD REVIEWS IN THE CLASSES AND SEEING HOW SUCH INFORMATION THE CLIENTS ARE RECEIVING THROUGH REVIEWS AND FOLLOWS UPS.SEEING VEGETABLE AND CLEAN NEIGHBORHOOD OUT OF OUR BEAUTIFICATIONS AND PLACE MAKING PROJECT. ALL BLOCKS ARE INVOLVES.SEEING MORE HEALTHY FOOD AROUND THE COMMUNITY.HAVING AT LEAST 60 PEOPLE AT THE HEALTHY COOKOUT WITH 60 DISHES.HAVING MORE PEOPLE INVOLVE IN THEIR COMMUNITY BY HAVING THEM PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY EVENTS AND PLANNING THEIR OWN EVENTS. NUMBERS OF PARTICIPANTS AND GUESTS WILL DETERMINE SUCCESS. AT LEAST HAVE A 100 PER EVENTS AND EVEN MORE.  SEEING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DOCTOR AND PATIENTS INCREASE. WILL BE DETERMINED BY EVALUATIONS AND CLIENTS COMING TO COMMUNITY CLINICS.PREGNANCY:A DECREASE IN YOUNG WOMEN PREGNANT WHEN THEY ENTER COLLEGE DATA RESEARCH WILL BE DONE TO SEE IF THE NUMBERS DECREASE OR INCREASE. 17 - 26AN INCREASE IN WOMEN EARNING A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND NOT PREGNANT WHEN THEY GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL. FROM 13 – 19 YEARS OF AGEAN INCREASE IN THE USE OF BIRTH CONTROL SUCH AS CONDOMS, THE PILL AND ABSTINENCE BY WOMEN AGES 16 TO 25 YEARS OF AGE.A DECREASE IN THE USE OF EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION SUCH AS EC PILLS AND AN IUD BY WOMEN AGES 16 TO 25 YEARS OF AGE.

ALL CLASSES MUST BE FULL OR HAVE AT LEAST 20 TO 25 STUDENTS

EVERY CLIENT HAVE A RESUME OR RESUMES THAT FIT THERE QUALIFICATION TO OBTAIN A LIVING WAGE FOR ALL AGES.

MUST HAVE OVER 100 PEOPLE AT LEAST 150 CLIENTS PER MONTH ATTENDING OUR JOBS FAIR.

WE MUST HAVE AT LEAST 50 CLIENTS A MONTH EMPLOY WITH JOBS THAT FITS THEIR SITUATIONS.

WE MUST HAVE AT LEAST 10 INTERNS WORKING WITH US DURING OUR SUMMER’S EVENTS THE MOST 20.

WE MUST HAVE AT LEAST 20 COLLEGE STUDENTS PER YEAR GETTING JOBS OR REFERRED FROM THEIR MAJORS.

WE MUST HAVE AT LEAST 10 REFER A MONTH FROM OTHER ORGANIZATION THAT NEED TO GET THEIR CLIENTS JOBS AND LIVING WAGES EARNING TO CHANGE THEIR ENVIRONMENT.

WE MUST CONDUCT AT LEAST 20 MOCK INTERVIEWS PER MONTH

WE MUST HAVE AT LEAST 20 NEW CLIENTS PER MONTH COMING FOR OUR SERVICES

Job Development Evaluations

MUST GIVE OUT AT LEAST 200 CERTIFICATE PER MONTH TO CLIENTS COMPLETING CLASSES.

MUST HAVE AT LEAST OVER 10 CLIENTS ROLLING OVER TO OUR HOUSING DEPARTMENT TO GET PERMANENT HOUSING PER MONTH.

MUST HAVE AT LEAST 50 CLIENTS ATTENDING OUR ONCE A MONTH OR TWICE EVENT OF JOBS FAIRS.

SEEING A RELATIONSHIP DEVELOP BETWEEN THE JOB DEVELOPER AND CLIENTS. DATA WILL BE TAKEN FROM REVIEW SHEETS.

MUST SEE AT LEAST 200 TO 300 OUT OF THE YEAR THAT ARE YOUTH BETWEEN 19 -26 GETTING JOBS.

MUST SEE AT LEAST 150 TO 250 MIDDLE AGE PEOPLE GETTING JOBS. AGES 27 – 40

MUST SEE FROM AGES 41 – 59 AT LEAST 100 TO 150 GETTING EMPLOYED.

MUST SEE ALL CLIENTS WHO GET EMPLOYED KEEP THEIR JOBS. DATA WILL BE COLLECTIVE TO SEE WHO KEEPING THEIR JOBS AND JOB HOPPING

MUST HAVE AT LEAST 50 CLIENTS OUT OF THE YEAR WHO GET PROMOTED TO A HIGHER POSITIONS. DATA WILL BE COLLECTIVE TO SEE IF WE ARE REACHING OUR GOAL.

I WOULD LIKE AT LEAST 100 VETS ATTENDING OUR HOUSING EVENTS

I WOULD LIKE AT LEAST 50 FAMILIES’ ATTENDING OUR HOUSING EVENTS.

I WOULD LIKE AT LEAST 100 SINGLE MEN AND WOMEN ATTENDING OUR HOUSING EVENTS

I WOULD LIKE A TURNOUT OF AT LEAST 200 PEOPLE AT OUR HOUSING FORUMS

I WOULD LIKE AT LEAST 500 PAMPHLETS GIVEN OUT PER MONTH

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE OUR NEIGHBORHOOD BEAUTIFIED AND GRAFFITI FREE BY INVOLVING THE NEIGHBORHOOD IN THESE EVENTS AND SEEING AT LEAST 50 PARTICIPANTS CLEANING THEIR BLOCK EVERY 3 TO 4 MONTHS. SEE A PLACE THEY CREATE. WE WOULD TAKE NAME OF PEOPLE WHO ARE PARTICIPATING AND TAKING LEADS AND TAKE PICTURES OF BEFORE AND AFTER.

LIKE TO SEE 300 + FOR OUR ONCE A YEAR HOUSING FORUM TO COME OUT AND SEE THE HOUSING AVAILABLE TO THEM AND HOW TO OBTAIN IT.

HAVING AT LEAST 10 - 25 PEOPLE PER MONTH MOVING TO THEIR OWN PLACE IN THE COMMUNITY OR AROUND THE COMMUNITY
