Journey ThemesThe saying “variety is the spice of life” has never rang truer than when choosing where, and how, to travel. The destination is only the start of your journey — how you experience that destination is where things get really interesting.

And our expert Destination Specialists are here to help ensure your personal tastes are catered to every step of

the way — from vacations the whole family can enjoy, to luxury rail travel, or spotting the “Big Five” from a boutique safari lodge.

At Cox & Kings, we’re sure to have a Travel Interest that adds a little extra spice to your next journey. Explore more below.

Adventure Travel

Adventure is subjective and, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. For some, nothing gets the adrenaline going like trekking across a Patagonian glacier. For others, simply getting out of their comfort zone and experiencing a different culture for the first time is enough to get the blood pumping. Adventure is personal and this is how we choose to define this style of travel at Cox & Kings.

Whether your adventure consists of hiking the last kilometers of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu or tasting sea urchin for the first time in Japan, Cox & Kings has, for centuries, consistently delivered delightful adventures for everyone.

Safaris

Let us take you deep into the heart of Africa. The natural beauty and rare authenticity found on a luxury African safari is profound. It is reflected in the warm smiles, cultural pride and strength and openness of its people. The thrill experienced when in the midst of Africa’s magnificent wildlife in their pristine, natural habitat, is incomparable.

Enter the game parks of South Africa to witness firsthand Cox & Kings’ decades of experience creating the most authentic luxury safaris using our exclusive network of lodges and local outfitters.

Family Travel

Journeys designed with the entire family in mind. Go beyond the beach and bring Europe’s history to life for the kids, or finally organize that multigenerational safari experience you’ve dreamt of. Our specialists can help plan a vacation that will be the talk of your next family reunion!

Culinary & Wine Experiences

A cooking class with a world-class chef in Peru. Creating a flavorful tagine with locals in Morocco. These are just some of the culinary and wine experiences you can enjoy on a Cox & Kings journey.

We believe that tasting is believing and breaking bread with locals bridges divides and brings us together. Our Destination Specialists love talking food and wine, and have a unique knack for making these experiences some of the most memorable of any trip.

Rail Journeys

Since the advent of the railways, train journeys have been the subject of much fascination and mystery. Indian royalty and the British aristocracy would often set out on a shikaar or on celebrations, out in the wilderness or deserts or mountains, traveling in the luxury of their private palaces on wheels. Today, our rail journeys continue this legacy of princely sojourns by introducing fascinating trips covering the length of exotic and enchanting landscapes around the world.

Explore Japan and China’s great cities at high speed via the world-renowned “bullet” train. Or, slow things down a bit with more of a meander through the ancient Inca landscapes in Peru’s Sacred Valley, all while watching the world pass by, traveling in a bygone style in the modern era.

Travel Insurance

We’ve got your back

Allianz Global Assistance for Cox & Kings travelers is all about peace of mind. When you purchase coverage, you can stop worrying about what would happen if you had to cancel your trip, if you got sick or hurt while traveling, or if your baggage was lost en route to the destination you have been planning for and dreaming about exploring.

Why buy travel insurance?

Many of our travelers have said that they don’t need travel insurance because they’re going on the trip, no matter what. But life has a way of upsetting even the best-laid plans — and it’s always better to be prepared and have your investment protected.

What are the benefits?

Our coverage starts the day after you purchase a policy and doesn’t stop until you get home from your trip. If you get sick or have an accident while traveling, Allianz Global Assistance will get you to the best available facility that provides high standards of Western health care. And throughout your trip, you get 24/7/365 assistance from U.S.-based associates who speak more than 40 foreign languages and include ER nurses and physicians.

Here is a summary of benefits and coverage included with Allianz Global Assistance:

• Trip Cost Protection: We cover for trip cancellation, trip interruption, travel delays and missed connections.

• Medical Protection: We’ll take care of you in a medical emergency abroad. Relax and leave the details to us, including organizing logistics for medical and dental coverage, as well as medical transportation if needed.

• Baggage Protection: Accidents happen, even on the best airlines. Travel insurance provides benefits for lost, damaged and stolen luggage — and can reimburse the purchase of essential items when baggage is delayed.

Allianz Global Assistance for Cox & Kings is also available with some special benefits. Please ask your Cox & Kings Destination Specialist for full details.

• Free coverage for kids (17 and under) when traveling with their parents or grandparents.

• Pre-existing medical conditions (protection premium to be purchased within 14 days of initial trip payment).

• Coverage for trip interruption/cancellation due to unexpected work commitments.

• Protection that lets you cancel anytime.

Don’t let an unfortunate accident ruin your trip of a lifetime. Contact Cox & Kings to protect your trip, your financial investment and your piece of mind.
