major social welfare and business-oriented stimulus plans.

– Sharpened government and business attention, particularly in US and

Japan, on addressing dependence on China for production and supply

– Global Recession in FY 2020 – look towards and start planning for FY

2021

- Differing regulatory environments

- Authoritarian regimes and media restrictions

- Patchy record keeping

- Paucity of public disclosure

- Compliance risks

- Operational and logistic issues

- How your Subject’s reputation is perceived by business community members

and regulators. Is your Subject involved in any significant issues of concern

such as money-laundering, drug trafficking, bribery and corruption, criminal

activities, or other forms of anti-social behavior?

- What is the true financial standing of your Subject? Does your Subject suffer

from any undisclosed operational issues?

The chief task in life is simply this: to identify and separate matters so that I can say clearly to myself which are externals not under my control, and which have to do with the choices I actually control. Where then do I look for good and evil? Not to uncontrollable externals, but within myself to the choices that are my own.
