This week we reached a positive milestone as more than 80% of people aged 16 and over in the UK have now received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. Data from Public Health England and Cambridge University shows that vaccines have saved more than 105,000 lives and prevented 143,600 hospital admissions. Children aged 12 to 15 who are clinically vulnerable or who live with adults who are at increased risk of serious illness from the virus are now being invited to come forward for their COVID -19 vaccine.

A total of 43,535,098 people have received two doses (80.1%) and 48,292,811 people have received one dose (88.8%).

More than half of all teenagers aged 16 and 17 in England have already received their jab, just over four weeks after the green light was given for this age group to be offered the vaccine.

The Government is working closely with the NHS to make it as easy as possible to get a vaccine, so all people aged 16 and over, in England, can now find their nearest centre through the ‘grab a jab’ NHS online walk-in finder.

channels or send them out via your WhatsApp or other channels.

● Download assets from the Public Health England Resource Centre to help with COVID-19 messages.

Together, we can all help stop the spread of COVID-19 by following safe behaviours.

These include letting fresh air in, testing regularly, using face coverings in crowded indoor places, using the COVID-19 NHS App and regular hand washing.

Information and assets are available in community languages.

encourage people to keep testing.● Post a link to guides on how to do a

rapid lateral flow test in different formats and languages to your networks.

One in three people who catch COVID-19 will not show any symptoms. It is important we keep testing to protect ourselves, the people we love, and our communities. People with symptoms should book a laboratory test called a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
