R300 Million Business growth/Resilience Facility.

Businesses geared to take advantage of supply opportunities resulting from the Coronavirus pandemic or shortage of goods in the local market.

R200 million Debt Relief Finance Scheme.

SMME payroll Assistance. Targeted at employees of SMMEs (Employers) that will not be able to claim from the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) — owing to employers not being registered with the Fund.

National Empowerment Fund (NEF)

R200 Million Covid-19 Emergency Funding Intervention.

Funding of Black SMEs for up to R10 million per applicant with a 12-month repayment holiday.

Wage Relief Department of Employment and Labour

Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF)

Temporary Employer/Employee Relief scheme (TERS) — National Disaster Benefit (Employer/employee cannot claim for both "National Disaster benefit" as well as any other UIF benefit simultaneously.

Temporary shutdown — if the employer temporarily shuts down the business then the UIF may pay out R3500 per employee per month for a maximum of three months.

Reduced work time — UIF may pay out the difference between the wage the employer pays and what the UIF benefit payable, should the employee lose employment.

Quarantine and illness — illness benefit paid out where employees are placed in isolation for for at least 14 days.

Death benefit — Spouse,Life partner, Children and nominated persons may apply for benefits where a contributor to the fund passes on.

Funding Department of Tourism

COVID-19 Interventions for the tourism sector.

R200 million made available to assist SMMEs (Annual turn-over must not exceed R2.5 million) in the hospitality and tourism sector who are under particular stress due to the new travel restrictions. 70% of the relief will be to Black owned Businesses with a bias towards rural areas.

South African Future Trust

R1 Billion in loan funding. SMME employers with annual turnover below R25 Million can apply for interest free funding repayable over 5 years. The funds borrowed will be paid directly to employees who are at risk due to COVID-19.
