It was first published in 1886 as a family magazine, later transformed into a literary magazine and eventually became a women’s magazine in the 1965, launched by the Schlicht & Field of New York. It is widely known as ‘Cosmo’. Cosmopolitan magazine today, and it’s cover stories have become increasingly explicit. The magazine currently features topics including sex, relationships, beauty, fashion and health. The advice and feature articles in the US edition are written to a presumed audience of white women. Cosmopolitan has 64 international editions published in 35 languages making it the largest-selling young women's magazine in the world. The Masthead- Cosmopolitan is a large font stretched across the whole top of the page. The image used on the magazine, covers the masthead as it is a popular magazine and is well known by the general public. The color used for the masthead is red which is bright and attractive. It gives an extremely bold look, also it stands out well on the plain white background. The color of the masthead also gives us an idea of what the magazine could be about even without looking at the cover-lines; red being a bold color attracts women as it indicates and expresses a lot of emotions. Women are the target audience of this magazine and hence, the color scheme and typeface of the magazine allow the target audience to grab the issue.
All cosmopolitan magazines have the same style of masthead, ensuring uniformity.
Main Cover-line
A very simple yet attractive typeface has been used in the cover line. Colors black, white and olive green have been used. Black stands out on the white background and the celebrity name is in olive green which emphasizes on what and who the article is about.
The main cover-line shows the name of the celebrity which is the same color as the models dress. Quotes have been used “Being cheated on made me stronger”. This gives us an idea of what the article is about and, what the model faced after which this article was written.
Other Articles The other articles of this magazine have been carefully aligned and written in a way that attracts the consumers at once. Puffs and buzzwords have been used to attract the customer into reading the article. The typeface of the headings match the colour of the cover image. Black, olive green and a white background contrast strikingly.
The pink puff adds up to the attraction as he colour is bright comparing it with the rest of the colours used.
Separators have been used to differentiate between the articles, also, symbols like hearts have been used which might be a good way to break the general codes of magazines.

The editor for TV & Satellite week is Jonathan Bowman who founded this magazine in the year 1993. It is an ultimate guide for those who are multichannel viewers. It’s the best magazine for ‘Sky’ and ‘Virgin’ listings, films, etc. TV & Satellite magazine has a focus on comedy, quality dramas, documentaries, film and sport. It has a plethora of informative reviews to allow people to decide what they want to do to entertain themselves. this publication also hosts informative segments on alternative topics for those interested in celebrity and specialist advice.

White is usually the colour they use for the masthead, this magazine is an entertainment magazine which is made mainly to attract youngsters ho are interested in movies, tv shows, music etc. This magazine is a complete package for all media junkies who want to stay updated about everything that is coming up soon.

To those who are die hard fans of this show wouldn’t take a second to think and would grab the magazine and learn more about what the magazine holds within. The colour orange that has been used is bright, it not only creates a strong impression but automatically attracts consumer attention.
Bright, permanent colours leave a strong impact on people. Also, the image of the Doctor used is eye-catching, the expressions leave a mark on the audiences.
Other Cover- lines As we can see, not many cover- lines have been mentioned on the page. There is more focus on the images and the background than the other articles. The background has different colours used in it, and other articles however- have images with it to indicate who the article talks about and what the new celebrity gossip is!

Q magazine is a popular monthly magazine issued in the United Kingdom. The first issue was in October 1986 by the EMAP media group. The founders of this magazine are Mark Ellen and David Hepworth.
The magazine was sub-titled "The modern guide to music and more". Q magazine was originally supposed to be called “cue” magazine, as in- Ready to play. The magazine has an extensive review section, featuring: new releases (music), reissues (music), music compilations, film and live concert reviews, as well as radio and television reviews. It uses a star-rating system from one to five stars; indeed, the rating an album receives in Q is often added to print and television advertising for the album in the UK and Ireland.

MastheadThe Q music magazine masthead s quite simple, it has nothing special- No extra effects have been used to make the masthead look different. This is a standard style of how all Q music magazines look, this magazine features mainly music- It is highly popular among the teenagers and all those who love music.
Q magazine has reviews of different artists and songs that are upcoming and all those that are the top songs, this magazine has always been a top teenager favourite. Also, the simplicity of the masthead proves that simple things always stand out well.
Main Cover- line
The main cover- line is about the singer “Cheryl Cole”. It tells us the her new album is coming out, all those who like her music would get this magazine. The cover image of the magazine is super attractive, the celebrity has been shown specifically in darker shades, mainly black and grey which gives a very strong impression.
Also, the expressions on her face and the cover= line that has been typed in red leaves a striking mark on the consumers. In the cover- line a lot of focus is on the word “ROCKS” giving the idea that her new album is going to be super hit (high hopes!!).
Other ArticlesFollowing the black, white, red, gray colour scheme, the other article headings have been beautifully composed, it not only shows creativity but also how the colours go really well together.
Names of bands and singers have been mentioned on both sides and hints of what the articles are about along with a medium sized puff on the right bottom side of the magazine talking about the famous singer, John Lennon.
