I am highly knowledgeable owing to my educational qualifications and over ten years of working experience as a structural design engineer. I graduated in 2011 from the University of British Columbia with a Master of Applied Science in Civil and Structural Engineering. I am eligible for registration with APEGBC as a Professional Engineer. I have been working as a structural engineer for a number of organizations for the last ten years. In this period, I have completed many projects which include design of sub and superstructure of low rise to high rise reinforced concrete buildings, multi-storey industrial and commercial steel buildings; self supported communication towers, guyed mast, pre-stressed highway bridges, reinforced concrete bridges, etc. I have proficient knowledge of Canadian and USA Building, Bridges and Steel Towers Codes and Specifications. I also have expertise to do seismic and wind load analysis of any structure by using finite element software. Additionally, I am involved in seismic assessment and retrofitting design of existing structures to make them efficient and safe for public use. I am comfortable working outdoors, travelling and working for long hours with equal efficiency and confidence. I know how to overcome all types of obstacles that arise in the design and engineering process. I am a confident and energetic individual who can easily learn and implement new skills at the workplace. I am also very friendly with colleagues and I know that coordination and communication is the key to achieve success in a team based environment. I have experience of effective supervision and monitoring of juniors engineers, technologists and designers to find out the best outcome.
