Re: Application for the post of sub-editor

I have worked as a freelance journalist since my college years in Warsaw, Poland. Upon graduation I took up a job as a sub-editor in a busy local newspaper. I left journalism to start my own wildlife tourism company and conservation group (www.wildwing.com) in 1997 but remained a prolific writer, penning travelogues, wildlife columns, anecdotes etc. Last June I forsook a career with crocodiles, snakes and eagles and moved to England. I currently teach Polish at Telford College, while hoping to pursue my original vocation as a sub-editor.

I have found journalism both creative and challenging; my favourite place in a newspaper has always been behind the editing desk. I would love to work in an environment such as yours. (I have enclosed my CV and portfolio, stating my experience as a sub-editor, reporter, feature writer, theatre artiste and snake handler.)
