Greetings,
It is with much enthusiasm that I am applying for the position at your institution this summer. I have worked in a variety of clubs that shall display my leadership capabilities and qualities.
I have a variety of leadership experiences that enable me to take control and lead others in a positive direction. I am a mentor for a middle school athlete named Blake. He is a great kid and I exemplify to him characteristics that maybe helpful to him for his future. I am apart of numerous clubs such as Emerging Leader, Boilermaker Athletic Council, Purdue Retail Organization, Pi Sigma Espilon, and Athletic Affairs Committee. As an student-athlete playing in the collegiate level, time management is essential in order for me to be committed to each organization. I pride myself on being organized, committed, and consistent.
Growing up, I never really had much to begin with. After the passing of my step-father in high school, my drive for success increased. Failure was not an option. Seeking ways to become better than what I was yesterday is my goal for myself to become the best version of myself. A high work ethic and drive are my strengths and whenever adversity arises, I face it directly and find solutions to overcome the problem. Being creative and finding new ways to solve problems is the excitement I receive when new problems come to surface.
Because of my hard work, dedication, and excellence in education, I have consistently earned the respect of parents, colleagues, teammates, and more importantly—my coaches. I am an innovator, with the experience, discipline, and motivation to lead with the skills necessary for success in the 21st century.
I have enclosed my resume which highlights my leadership opportunities and accomplishments. I look forward to the opportunity to interview with you and discuss how I can contribute to the vision of your institution.
Sincerely,
Gregory Lee Phillips
