Seven Decades Supporting London COVENTRYSCAFFOLDING.COM Coventry Scaffolding 2020 marks our 70th anniversary of providing scaffolding services. From humble beginnings, operating out of a bombed-out churchyard in Westminster, to leading independent scaffold contractor and Royal Warrant Holder, Coventry Scaffolding has come a long way since it was established by Pat Hanifan in July 1950. Today Coventry is one of the longest-standing members of the NASC and one of the oldest independent scaffolding companies in England. We have become the go-to company for work in and around Whitehall, the Houses of Parliament and the Royal Palaces. This was recognised in 2005, when we were awarded the Royal Warrant by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Over the past 70 years, we have become renowned for our work on iconic and historic buildings and monuments, such as Buckingham Palace, Victoria and Albert Memorial, Tower of London, Nelson's Column, Hampton Court, the Natural History, Science and V&A Museums and well known buildings such as Harrods and the Baltic Exchange. We have provided stages for Madness at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations and provided access to the Art World in the form of Global Cities and Empty Spaces at the Tate Modern and the award winning London Mastaba, Hyde Park's Serpentine River. This brochure includes some of the highlights from our three-score and ten... “After 40 years of working on projects at Buckingham Palace, becoming the first scaffolding company in the UK to be granted the Royal Warrant remains one of Coventry’s proudest moments.” PAUL HANIFAN, CHAIRMAN “We're incredibly proud to have made it to 70 years, especially given the industry we are in. It's a rare achievement! We thank all the people who have made it possible, right from the start when Dad needed backing, to the hundreds of employees who have worked for us over the years and of course, to our clients, who put their trust in Coventry, We are so grateful.” PERRY HANIFAN, DIRECTOR 020 8659 8888 @COVENTRY_SCAFF coventryscaffolding coventryscaffolding.com
