My Life, My Story—Writing your Life Experience
Tutor | Janet Brown
Everyone has a unique story to tell. You are invited to attend the FREE first session
of our Life Writing course with writer and film maker Janet Brown for an overview of different approaches and ideas about telling your story. We reckon you will be hooked and will sign up for the following 6 week course.
Some people write their life story because of their interest in family history, others
are keen to write their memoirs, and some just like the opportunity to share and reflect. For many it can be a cathartic journey of personal reflection and you will not
be required to share your writing if you do not want to.
Some of the topics will include:
How to turn your personal story/journey into a great read, recording or performance.
Awakening your memories and organizing them creatively
Where to start? What to include and what to leave out?
Describing events and people
Finishing the project – staying motivated
By the end of these sessions you will have the tools and confidence to continue.
This course is suitable for adults of all ages.
When | FREE intro session on Tuesday 16 May from 9.30 am—12.30 pm,
