1. Abstract: This course surveys the major areas of management and applications of
those areas in an engineering profession.
2. Objective: The primary purpose of this course to
Teach students the techniques and tools useful for decision making to controlin today's business climate.
Give students the skills and the knowledge set necessary to ethically manage
today's business operations for productivity and performance.
3.Prerequisites of the course: It is expected from the students of the course that
s/he must have basic understanding of the business organisations.

6.Pedagogy:
The course will include some lecture and interactive class room sessions. A
significant amount of discussion, group exercises, and in-class assignments
specifically case analysis will also be included.
7.Expected outcome: Towards the end of the course the student would be able to
Know the key managerial issues associated with human resources, marketing,
organisational behaviour, accounting and finance, operations, quality and
information.
Understand how these issues are inter-related in your own and in other
organisations.
Understand the skill, role and different functions of a manager.
