COURSE OUTLINE ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Entrepreneurship is focused on developing knowledge, skills and understanding of how an innovative
idea, product or process can be used to form a new and successful business, or to help an existing
firm to grow and expand.
Objective:
Development of essential understanding and knowledge of how to test whether an innovative idea, product or
processes will be demanded by customers, how to finance start-up ventures and innovation projects, and how
to sell and market new products and services into national and international market places.
Areas of Study:
Focus on how innovative new products and services are developed and how entrepreneurs think and make
decisions. Learning of how entrepreneurial firms compete for customers in national and international markets,
how they form strategies, and how they organize their activities and operations to grow into successful and
profitable businesses.

Surprise Quizzes and Assignments Many Presentations Case Study Discussion:
o Case Study on Unique and Successful Entrepreneurship Ventures [Example -Apple] willbe discussed to understand the concept of creativity and innovation as means of
successful entrepreneurship.
o Case Study on Successful Entrepreneurs [Example: Richard Branson] will be discussedto analyze the qualities of successful entrepreneurs.
o Students will be asked to bring relevant case-studies revolving around the theme ofentrepreneurship and prepare and deliver a presentation on the same.
Business Reports on Potential Business Ventures[An Assignment or a Quiz missed for any reason will not be retaken.]
