Trauma &Joint Replacements
Course on
26/27/28 July 2013 @ Visakhapatnam
Dear Doctor,
Greetings from IGOF.
Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu have shared a close relationship in the eld of healthcare in the last 200 years. The Indo-German Orthopaedic Foundation celebrates the best innovation and technology in the eld of trauma and orthopaedics in India and Germany.
We are overjoyed that the upcoming course on Trauma and Revison Joint Replacement will take place in Visakhapatnam on July 26th, 27th and 28th, 2013. The aim of the Indo-German Orthopaedic Foundation is to highlight young orthopaedic surgeons and involve as many upcoming specialists in the eld of trauma and orthopaedics within the region. A novel approach to increase the interaction across the age groups as well as between experts and budding orthopaedic surgeons has led to the creation of several interesting programs. The Mohandas Weller Award, The Grand Orthopaedic Quiz, The Great Debate and “My Worst Case” all add to the enrichment of this conference.
I urge you to be present on all the days of the conference to have an all round view of trauma and orthopaedics and to engage actively in the live surgery sessions every afternoon.
Looking forward to welcoming you in person.
With best regards,Yours sincerely,
Dr. P MohandasSecretary, IGOF.

VISAKHAPATNAM – A DESTINATION FOR EVERY IMAGINATIONVisakhapatnam, popularly known as vizag is the second largest city of Andhra Pradesh. Once part of the ancient empire of Kalinga, it has been ruled by eminent kings such as Ashoka and Krishnadeva Raya. It had also been a Dutch colony in the 18th century. Now a comfortable urban hangout, the city offers the best of both ancient and modern worlds.
The Visakhapatnam Port (the largest in the country) was a gateway contributing to the development of the petroleum, steel and fertiliser industries. The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (recently expanded from 3.1 to 6.3 million ton in its daily cargo handling capacity) & Hindustan Petroleum were the two multi-billion-dollar investments that put Visakhapatnam on the industrial map. The IT exports from Vizag for 2012 were 1200 Crores & 16000 people were working in IT industry in Vizag.
Vizag is surrounded by three amazing hills - Sri Venkateswara Konda, Ross hill and Dargah konda. Each hill carries the legacy of housing the shrines dedicated to three different religions. Venkateswara temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva on Venkateswara Konda; Church of the Virgin Mary on Ross hill and the tomb of a Muslim saint, Baba Ishaq Madina Dargah on Dargah Konda. The city boasts of a submarine museum known as 'INS Kurusura Submarine Museum' at Rama Krishna Beach, the rst of its kind in South Asia.
VENUE - NOVOTEL HOTELSLocated adjacent to Varun Inox Multiplex and about 12 kms from airport, Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach has a panoramic view of Bay of Bengal. Sophisticated amenities includes Wi-Fi access, multi-cuisine restaurants, an executive lounge, spa, a beach bar and a poolside bar.
