Course Descriptions ~Language Improvement for Teachers~ A practical and interactive course that develops your language skills and gives you increased confidence in the classroom. Who is this course for? Primary and secondary school teachers who teach school subjects in the medium of English and wish to improve their general language skills. Teachers who want to develop their teaching skills within a beautiful University of Cambridge college setting and become part of a global teaching community. Course outcomes You will have: The ability to confidently manage and teach lessons in English Improved English language skills A range of techniques and strategies for developing language awareness A greater intercultural awareness, including social, linguistic and cultural diversity Course description Tuition (43 hours per two week course) All Bell Teacher Campus courses are delivered by highly experienced teacher trainers. The team includes a whole host of leading ELT experts and published educational authors. This course helps teachers improve their English for use inside and outside the classroom. Participants will develop their speaking and listening skills, expand their vocabulary, improve their language accuracy and become more confident users of English. Teachers will also gain useful new ideas for activities and tasks they can use in their own classrooms. Topics covered on Language Improvement for Teachers include: Vocabulary development, e.g. common idioms, phrasal verbs Classroom language Listening and speaking skills development Pronunciation workshops English grammar Learning how to learn English Teaching a mini-lesson Each Course we run is tailored by our expert tutors to the participants so content may be adapted to best suit the needs of your group. . Take the Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) Choose to take the TKT at Bell Teacher Campus and gain an internationally recognised qualification, awarded by Cambridge English, part of the University of Cambridge. Free exam preparation for the TKT is provided. There is only a small admin fee of £38 to take the exam, which includes postage of the certificate.
