Eligibility

How to ApplyThe Global Business Course is open to those who will have completed a 12-year curriculum ofschool education in a foreign country, or have completed an equivalent education as specifiedby the Ministry of Education of Japan, prior to enrollment at the University of Hyogo.

Screening Process

Required Documents1) A completed Application Form (including two short essays) (The application form can be found at: http://www.u-hyogo.ac.jp/english/index.html) 2) A certificate of academic acheivement, or a high school transcript. 3) A certificate of English Proficiency or a reference from an English teacher.One of the following: TOEFL iBT Test-42, IELTS-4.0,Cambridge English Language Assessment -140, TOEIC L&R + TOEIC S&W-1150 4) Letters of recommendation from an academic advisor/teacher 5) A Certificate of Expected Graduation/Program completion. 6) Other items that may be required depending on the applicant's country and situation. 7) For more details visit our website at: http://www.u-hyogo.ac.jp/english

Students are selected for admission based on their application materials and interviews. Theinterviews will be conducted in English. While we try to conduct these interviews face to face,distance and time constraints sometimes require the use of online interviews. In some cases theapplicant's schools and/or the author of the recommendation letter may be contacted.

InternationalDormitoryThe University of Hyogo's International Dormitory, located onthe Kobe Campus for Commerce, accommodates 150international and Japanese students. This community settingprovides opportunities for multicultural cooperation andlearning. International support staff are located on the firstfloor, and are ready to answer your questions and assist youwith your life in Japan. First year students are required to stay in the dormitory for atleast one year, after which support is provided for moving offcampus.
