ABOUT THE COURSE:

The Indian power Sector is presently passing through a phase of transition of technology up-gradation in thearea of Generation and Transmission. Several new Ultra Mega Thermal power Projects are in the process ofinstallation both in Public and private sectors where advanced technology with super critical parameterssupported by the state of the art Control & Instrumentation system are being adopted. Simultaneously toevacuate the power, several EHV substations and long Transmission lines would be erected with associateddistribution system.

To manage this huge transmission System along with its Distribution network, a huge manpower adequatelytrained shall be required which will be of the order of 4.00 Lacs.

CBIP has taken this initiative to launch the 03 Months Post Diploma Certificate Course in Sub Transmission &Distribution System following the syllabus as per the requirements of Central Electricity AuthorityRegulations – 2010 for the fresh Diploma Engineers who would be groomed as per the requirement of IndianPower Industry and would be readily available to the utilities of power sector. The syllabus has beendesigned to provide a meaningful practical oriented training to the said Engineers as per the requirement ofvarious stake holders of the industry.

This course covers the complete syllabus under the provision of Indian Electricity Regulations – 2010 whichwill include the class room sessions, Lab sessions as well as on-the-job training. The students have to attendthe Labs and workshops for practical demonstration and testing and the on-job practice sessions in variousDistributions Sessions and associated system. Visit to some reputed manufacturing plants shall alos bearranged. After completion of the course the students would be fully conversant with the Sub-Transmissionand Distribution technology and would be able take over the charge of the O&M of Substations in Sub-Transmission and Distribution sectors as working Supervisors.

ELIGIBILITY

Diploma Holder in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution / University with minimum of 60%marks.

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

Based on the Merit of marks of 10th/12th & Diploma in Engineering. The merit list of the selected candidateswill be displayed on the website after the last date of receipt of hard copy of the application.

Age Limit

For Non-sponsored candidates, the age limit is 27 years as on 25/03/2019 i.e. last date of submission ofonline application. There is no age limit for the sponsored candidates.

FACULTY

In-house as well as Renowned/Reputed and well experienced faculty members from Power Industry/T&Dequipment manufacturers/Contractors/IIT/engineering colleges will be delivering the lectures for the entireprogram.

ACCREDITATION OF INSTITUTE

CBIP has been accredited as Category-I training Institute by Ministry of Power, Govt. of India to run all theprogrammes under Central Electricity Authority Regulation – 2010.

RECOGNISION/CERTIFICATION OF THE COURSE

Certificate will be issued by Central Board of irrigation & Power (CBIP) which is a reputed autonomous bodyin the field of Power & Water Resources having liaison with various Govt./Semi-Govt./Pioneer-Pvt. SectorOrganizations including Central Electricity Authority, NTPC, NHPC, Powergrid etc.

CBIP institute has been recognized as Grade – A Category-I training Institute by Ministry of Power, Govt. ofIndia under CEA regulations-2010. The syllabus of the course is as per the mandatory Trainingrequirements specified in Central Electricity Authority regulations-2010.

CBIP is also a recognized training partner of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Power SectorSkill Council (PSSC) and Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ)

COURSE CHARGES

• Admission Fee: Rs. 40,000/- excluding lodging & boarding (payable in 2 installments i.e. Rs. 30,000/-and Rs. 10,000/- after one month).

• Caution Money: An amount of Rs. 5000/- as security deposit which is refundable has to be depositedby the student at the time of admission.

• Placement Charges: Rs. 8,000/- to be paid after placement in organizations.• Charges for Lodging/Boarding : CBIP has tied -up with local Guest Houses / Hostels. Accommodation

will be made for lodging, boarding on nominal p ayment basis. The candidates who are interested tohave accommodation may give option for the same. The charges may vary from 6000 to 7000 permonth.

LOAN FACILITY

The candidates who get confirmed admission and wish to avail loan from a Bank/Financial i nstitute may alsotake a certificate from CBIP for availing the same.

REFUND

Fee once deposited will not be refunded back. In case a selected candidate wishes to withdraw from thecourse for any reason, no part of course fee will be refunded except the security deposit.

Application may be submitted through online through CBIP Website .The downloaded hard copy oftheapplication form along-with the demand draft/multicity cheque of Rs. 3 00/- in favour of "Central Board ofIrrigation and Power" payable at New Delhi should reach the Director, CBIP Centre of Excellence,(address given below) latest by 25.03.2019.
