We look forward to meeting you. Student Enrolments for 2019 As we move through the weeks towards the end of the year, we are looking at student numbers and the composition of classes for 2019. At this stage we are looking at eight classes across K-6. However, this may change if we have a sudden drop in enrolments which we weren’t anticipating. Similarly, an influx of students who we weren’t expecting will also affect class structures. If you know of anyone who is thinking about enrolling at Greta PS, and resides within our designated school zone, please encourage them to contact the office. In addition, if you are leaving our school community we would also appreciate knowing as early as possible. This makes our planning much easier and ensures a smoother start for everyone the following year.

Apart from the “Trash and Treas-ure” all stalls are priced between 50c and $3.

ITS ALMOST CHRISTMAS TIME AGAIN !!!!!

The P&C will soon be putting together their raffle hampers so we are asking for donations towards the hampers. Please send in your non perishable items to allow us to start preparing the hampers.

There is one on display in the cabinet outside the canteen. Please take some time to have a look and think about it as in next couple of weeks a survey will go out to the school community for feedback.

We would love to see some new and of course our familiar faces. Children are welcome to attend as we will put a movie on for them in the next classroom. Michelle Woodhouse P&C President.

BRANXTON PUBLIC SCHOOL

On Wednesday, 21st November Branxton Public School will host the team from Project Rockit at 6pm. Our P&C will provide tea/coffee and a bite to eat.

By all accounts this is a fantastic forum for parents and carers to learn the strengths and challenges of the online world as a young person.

Cost - $5 per person

The SUPPORT: Parent, Carer and Educator Forum is an opportunity for the broader

school community to come together and learn from our team of expert presenters about the strengths and challenges of navigating the online world as a young person.

Our Head of Programs and lead presenters will share their in-depth knowledge of major social media plat-forms and the issue of (cyber)bullying, while also providing a range of hot tips and strategies that parents, guardians and carers can use to support young people online. This session also allows for an open Q&A at the end where we can answer all your burning questions.

The forum includes:

The background behind PROJECT ROCKIT, Australia’s youth driven movement against (cyber)bullying

Some of our key learnings from working with over 300,000 students across the country in the past 12 years

Digital literacy about what social media platforms are out there and how young people are using them

Credible tips and strategies for how adults can best support their young person online

Additional resources where they can learn more about different social media platforms

Q&A at the end with our team members
