Welcome! You are stepping back a century to experience the life and times of the residents of the small farming
communities that dotted the North Valley. We hope you’ll have an experience to remember!
At the Patrick Ranch Country Faire & Threshing Bee you will:
• Witness the evolution of farming practices that have provide bread for our tables
• Be thrilled by the sights and sounds of primitive antique tractors and threshing machines
• Be awed by the magnificent draft horses and• Be impressed by the hardworking men and
women as they harvest the wheat!
Mission The Patrick Ranch Museum aims to preserve and
interpret the agricultural history of the Sacramento Valley and provide enrichment for all ages through
education about our rural past.
Through a combination of rural artifacts, living history, first-person interpretation, hands-on
demonstrations, and self-directed exploration, visitors to the Patrick
Ranch discover what it would have
been like to work on an early farm in Butte County.

For In-kind Donations and Services
A special thanks is extended to the men and women of the Vintage Iron Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Association and the California Draft Horse & Mule Association. They prepared and planted the wheat field, controlled weeds, and are now harvesting the crop. Their agricultural expertise, hard work, and magnificent tractors, horses, and equipment
provide an unparalleled living history experience!
Our appreciation is also extended to the countless volunteers and staff who have given so generously of their time,
talent and resources to make this event possible.
