THREATS
WWW: MOUNTAIN.ORG
• Community members are resource dependent and apply unsustainable practices to meet their subsistence needs.
• Livestock are often grazed in biodiversity rich forests converting biodiversity-rich forests into pastures
• Medicinal and aromatic plants are over harvested to supplement meager incomes
• Tourism management along trekking routes is weak, with resultant problems of waste disposal (human and solid), uncontrolled firewood use, and poorly situated campsites.
