With the launch of a new website and an online boutique via web-based retailer JewellStreet.com, customers can view and purchase the latest products at the click of a button. Added to this, Purnell has been shortlisted in the Independent Retailer of the Year category at the upcoming Croydon Business Awards 2016. This comes on the back of high industry recognition, following the September announcement that founder Vicki Purnell had been awarded ‘Retail Star’ in the Professional Jeweller HOT 100, a highly regarded national annual industry publication. July 2016 marked the 3 rd anniversary of high street shop Purnell & Powell, the home of Purnell Jewellery, Coulsdon’s bespoke jeweller. With a jewellery lounge and design studio at the shops rear, Purnell Jewellery is proving especially popular for couples, and is fast getting a reputation for supplying engagement and wedding rings that are unique, high quality and better value than some better known jewellers. This initial customer base has grown and Vicki is fulfilling requests for bespoke gifts for anniversaries, bridesmaids, christenings and more. ‘I am delighted to see how much Purnell Jewellery has grown in our first three years’ says Vicki Purnell, founder and designer jeweller, ‘there is a real community feeling here and supplying high-end bespoke jewellery to local people is very satisfying and creatively exciting’. was to create a store where it was possible for people to sit down in relaxed atmosphere and discuss their dream pieces before making them a reality. From meeting clients, Vicki draws bespoke pieces of jewellery, which she works with her team to create to the highest quality. This offers customers flexibility in terms of pricing whilst ensuring they do not compromise on their desired style. It also enables pieces to have real personal touches that mean something to their future owners. In addition to these services, Purnell Jewellery also offers on site repairs and jewellery alterations.
