REMINDERS ABOUT CES 1. If you sign your child out before dismissal,
those minutes are kept track of and counted
towards absences.
2. The double line for car pick up at night BE-
GINS WHERE THE PARKING LOT ENDS.
YOU MERGE BACK TO ONE LINE WHEN
YOU GET TO THE FRONT DRIVE FOR
THE PARKING LOT.
3. If you choose to park and walk your child in
during morning time, PLEASE WALK THEM
ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE CROSS-
WALK. Don’t just let them out and have them
walk by themselves.
4. At night, we ask that adults walk over and
get students. Please don’t send a student/
sibling to get them. Otherwise it would be bet-
ter for you to get in line.
FAMILY MATH NIGHT
On Thursday, November 20, 2014, Cottonwood Elementary held a Family Math Night
starting at 6:20 p.m. Fifty-three families came and enjoyed an evening of learning and
playing math games. Each family was provided a packet with multiple game instruc-
tions, dice, cards and game markers. Families also had the opportunity to visit websites
which had games and use apps on the IPads. Parents also learned how to log on to the
Everyday Math website in order to access games from their homes. We appreciate all
the support from parents by bringing their students to this fun evening! Check out our
Facebook page to see all the pictures from Family Math Night.
Second Grade Community Service Project
Second Graders will have the opportunity to participate in a community service

will be donated to Cops for Tots. This project is optional.

documentation into Cottonwood as soon as possible.
Thank you, Robin Meeks District Nurse
