www.seguridad.gob.ec Quito, 20 of August of 2015 07:15 COTOPAXI VOLCANO PRESS RELEASE 011 A report by the Institute of Geophysics of the Polytechnic University noted that from yesterday late afternoon, 18h00, until today early morning the volcanic activity of the Cotopaxi remains the same, Today, during the morning hours, there was presence of gas emissions directed towards the west side of the volcano. However, there was no presence of ash or rain fall in the zones nearby. The preventive yellow alert continues to be in place and with urge you to maintain clam and alert in case of any increase volcanic activity. We remind you that that useful information about the volcanic activity, safe zones, shelters, and routes of evacuation can be found at www.volcancotopaxi.com and that continuous monitoring of the volcano is being carried out 24/7 by the Institute of Geophysics of the Polytechnic University and the Secretary of Risk Management.

PRESS RELEASE 011

A report by the Institute of Geophysics of the Polytechnic University noted that
