Polyester corded straps are manufactured under two different categories: textile strapping and composite strapping. Even though they have similar tensile strengths, they differ from each other according to their cost structure and type of application.

CO-STRAP research and development department, with its many years of engineering & chemistry experienceand know-how cooperates with "The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK)" andalso various Universities in Turkey in order to improve the technology and the quality of its products.

CO-STRAP has improved Flexibility and System Strength of the Composite Strap with R&D study. The System Strength of our Composite Strap had increased up to 180% of its Linear Break Strength for the Ultraflex Type when used with anappropriate buckle.

Also, CO-STRAP has increased Stiffness and System Strength of the Textile Strap during new R&D project.

Research and Development

CO-STRAP Composite Corded Straps are produced from high tenacity polyester yarns and polypropyleneflakes. Composite straps are stiff but flexible products that can be easily used at various packaging applications. They are highly resistant to severe weather conditions(especially hot climates) and unlike PET and Steel Straps they do not break instantly from a single point against impacts. Based on the application types and packaging volume they can be much more economical than other strap types.
