Cosplay & Props Policy
Props Policy:
All weapons must be inspected and approved by convention staff upon entry. If they comply with
guidelines, they will receive a peacebonding tag that is not to be removed during the duration of the
convention.
No live steel. Live steel is defined as swords, knives, or other objects made of metal, which can take an
edge. Dull metal weapons are considered live steel, and are therefore not permitted.
No costume may generate odor, smoke, or fog, or have overly flashing lights.
No metal or wood bats, metal pipes, or long metal chains.
Operating a prop to shoot an object of any material is not allowed on the premises.
Any item that is designed or manufactured with the intent to cause bodily harm or death, any item that
is illegal in the state of California, or any other item that appears dangerous or may pose a risk of harm is
not allowed on the premises.
Misuse of a weapon or prop, such as swinging it in a public area or posing a hazard to others, will cause
the item in question to be removed from the convention premises.
Cosplay Policy:
Wearing clothing with objectionable material, including obscene language or graphics is not permitted.
Clothing which exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate in a family
environment is not allowed. Attendees may be asked to cover up or remove their costumes at the
discretion of the convention staff.
Shoes must be worn at all times.
Any prop or costume that does not comply with convention guidelines will not be allowed into the
convention. Convention staff may revoke approval of a peacebonded weapon if there are complaints about
the use of a prop, or if the peacebonding tag is tampered with. Any weapon whose peacebond is revoked
will need to be removed from the convention property immediately.
