LPR Probe Reader Bluetooth Kit
The LPR Probe Reader Bluetooth Kit is a convenient and portable standard Linear Polarization Resistance (LPR) instrument kit for measuring corrosion rate in water systems. The LPR Probe Reader (LPR-100) directly connects to LPR Standard/Temperature probes*. Measurement readings are displayed and recorded by the Transfer Unit (TU-500). A cable is only required where access to a probe is difficult and an extension cable is used to position the LPR-100 at an easy access location. The LPR-100 may be read by the TU-500 from up to 60 ft. (20m) distance with clear line of site.

LPR Corrosion Monitoring Point: High Pressure (up to 6000 psi)
The above diagram shows the equipment required for a typical high pressure corrosion monitoring point using linear polarization resistance measurement technology. A typical LPR probe reading system consists of an LPR probe connected to a hollow plug and inserted into a Cosasco Access Fitting that has been welded onto the pipeline. The LPR probe can be installed and retrieved under full operating pressure using a Cosasco Retriever and Service Valve. The LPR-100 Probe Reader and Probe Adapter are placed into the probe. The TU-500 Transfer Unit communicates wirelessly with the LPR-100 to take a corrosion rate reading. Collected readings on the TU-500 can be downloaded wirelessly to a PC running Cosasco Data Offline Software for graphing and analysis.

The above diagram shows the equipment required for a typical low pressure corrosion monitoring point using linear polarization resistance measurement technology. The electronic part of the LPR Probe reading system works the same as the high pressure system except it uses a retractable means of access. A standard weldolet is welded onto the pipeline and a ball valve is installed and remains in situ. A retractable probe is installed and retracted under full operating pressure using a Cosasco 60 Retractor Kit.
