All horizontal pipes should have a minimum fall of 1:100. Discharge pipework should be copper or rigid solvent weld plastic, not ‘pushfit’

If a vertical run isneeded, thisshould be at thestart of the run(within 30cm ofthe unit) and fromthe high pointthere must be aminimum fall of1:100 (see rule 1).

Bends should besmooth/long radius,not tight elbows.(Examples of copperand plastic shown.)

All pipework shouldbe supportedaccording to pipemanufacturersrecommendations.

Pipesenteringthe Sanifloshouldhave agravity fallof 1:33.

Where the pipework falls to a floorlower for example, fit an airadmittance valve at the highest pointcapable of withstanding 10psipressure, or increase pipe size comingdown to ‘break’ syphon.

Each Saniflodischarge pipeshould runseparately to the soilpipe. If wastes arecombined, it canonly be into a largerpipe, which is on agravity fall.

The unit should be easily accessible andremovable in the event of maintenancebeing required.

If boxed in, the boxing should be easilyremoved. Any extension between the WCpan spigot and wall should not exceed150mm.

Since many close coupledWC suites do not have thespace between the WC panspigot and the wall, youmay have to batten thecistern off the wall to makeroom for the Saniflo.However Sanislim will fitbehind most closedcoupled WC suites withoutthe need for this.

Position the Saniflo behindthe toilet not underneath it.

Electrical connection should bevia an unswitched fixed wiringconnector with a 5 amp fuse.
