OCTOBER 2019: EXTRAORDINARY MISSIONARY MONTH Theme: Baptized and sent: The Church of Christ on
mission in the world.
On the occasion of the 91st World Mission Sunday, Pope Francis called for an Extraordinary Missionary Month. This is to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the promulgation of the Apostolic Letter Maximum Illud, with which Pope Benedict XV sought to give new impetus to the missionary task of proclaiming the Gospel”, thus responding to Jesus’s perennial command to “go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature” (Mk16:15).
With our fall weather and life getting into the swing of things, we will be having our craft sale, with a new name and still the great vendors plus some new ones.
Our two days of fun and crafts will be: Saturday November 16th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.
As in previous years, our vendors will have only handmade items. Our kitchen will have volunteers who will be serving sandwiches, chili and other delicious items in our “café”; not to be missed!
If you have some hidden talents that you think you would like to share in the form of crafts, art, sewing, we may have a table for you to rent and sell these precious items.
As in previous years, we are looking for volunteers for making baked goods for sale. This is always very popular and is in large part a great way to donate where it will benefit our parish.
If you are interested in renting a table for this two‐day event or you are looking to share your talents by volunteering, please contact Carol Lombard at 416‐418‐5713. ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐
Our sincere thanks and gratitude to all our volunteers, guides, catechist and everyone who helped out to put things together and made our Open
House a great success. We would never have got there without your effort and help.
Thank you once again and God bless each one of you for all that you’ll do for the Parish.

Thank you for your commitment to the Family of Faith Campaign. The efforts that we make together will help us to
achieve the goal. Please remember to honour the pledge that you made, as payments are made parish‐share funds will be periodically deposited in our account. The efforts of this campaign will help our parish address some of our most pressing needs.
You should contact the Centre when your address changes, your payment method/information changes (eg. A new card or a new card expiry date). The email address is [email protected] and Tel: 416‐934‐3400 x555. ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐
Our 50/50 Cash Raffle is moving along. To date, received monies for 490 and tickets, totaling $2,450. We have over 1,000 tickets out there where our terrific parishioners are selling them like crazy. We still have an additional 2,000
more tickets to be sold, and with everyone’s help we will get there. We had a bit of a slow start as we only started end of July. We have six more weeks so we have some work to do. Please contact the office or the ticket seller after Mass if you would like to get some books to sell or if you are available after Mass to sell at the door. Our draw for the raffle will be the last day of our craft sale, November 17.
Sale of tickets is “easy-peasy”, and we need your help with that. Because this is licensed, we can sell the tickets at places of work, schools, friends, and if you have any other ideas, pass them along. Just a reminder…
First prize - $7,500 Second prize - $500
Third prize - $200
Net proceeds will go to the church for maintenance of grounds, utilities, etc. Thank you in advance and good luck on the draw! ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐
