juntos nuestra oración humilde y honesta a nuestro Dios
misericordioso y amoroso.
LITURGY OF THE DAY
As the Jubilee Year of Mercy enters its final month, we gather to cel-
ebrate our loving and merciful God by hearing the prayer of the tax
collector in the Gospel: “O God, be merciful to me a sinner.” As
hard to believe as it may be that in all this vast universe God hears
our prayers, the scriptures tell us today that “the prayer of the lowly
pierces the clouds.” So today let us make humble and honest prayers
together to our merciful and loving God.

Corpus Christi Celebrates Respect Life Sunday
On Sunday, October 2, over 40 parishioners of all ages
gathered to give a “voice to the voiceless” and to help raise
awareness for the rights of unborn human beings.
The group gathered along both sides of Augusta Highway in
front of the church, held up signs for the protection of unborn
children and for women – prayed silently and aloud, and
witnessed in a peaceful demonstration on the sanctity of life.
This is now the third year in a row that Corpus Christi has
celebrated Respect Life Sunday with our “Life Chain” event.
May we all look for ways to put our faith into action while we
witness for human life in our world today!
